A Memorial

We have created two things in honour of our beloved Richard Bayliff: 

A beautiful trophy, made by former Board Chair Bruce Packard from timber out of the demolished two-storey block, which we have named the "Goodie" award. This is an annual award for endeavour to a student in Year 9 or 10 and was presented for the first time at the 2013 Junior Closing Ceremony to Year 10 student Dallas Bradley. It is inscribed with Richard's trademark 'Goodie' signature with which he acknowledged student effort with homework. Students could later redeem their goodies for chocolate!

A Trust account has been set up thanks to generous donations from Richard's sister, Liz Coulter and his late mother Pat Bayliff. This account is to be used to support students, from families who may be struggling financially, to be able to access the type of trips that Richard use to lead, such as the Year 9 Rotoiti trip. Anyone wishing to make a contribution to this memorial fund can do so by depositing funds directly into the account:
